Gottheimer Tours IUOE Local 825 Training Center and Discusses Progress on Gateway

DAYTON, N.J. — On Monday, April 9, 2018, Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) toured the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 825 Training Center in Dayton. He spoke to Local 825 members about the work they’re doing to rebuild New Jersey’s crumbling infrastructure and the progress being made to move the Gateway Project forward.

“The Gateway Project will provide job-creating investments to fix New Jersey’s crumbling tunnels, bridges, roads, and rails, and spur economic growth. Securing the gateway to one-fifth of America’s economy is not a partisan issue, it is an American issue,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “Thank you to Business Manager Greg Lalevee and all the other IUOE members for showing me the ropes at the Local 825 Training Center.”

“Congressman Gottheimer and I agree: the Gateway Project is essential to our state and our country. I am proud to partner with a Congressman so dedicated not just to strengthening our state’s infrastructure, but also supporting the engineers and operators who are on the ground working to improve our roads, bridges, and tunnels every day,” said IUOE Local 825 Business Manager Greg Lalevee.
